Transportation:
Georgia has more than 120 public transportation systems — including large systems in the Atlanta region and comprehensive bus systems in cities such as Savannah, Macon, Columbus, Rome, Athens, Albany, Hinesville, Rome, and Augusta. Georgia is also home to more than 100 small bus and van services.
Housing: Housing in Atlanta is extremely varied, with prices very dependent on which neighborhood you are living in. It is recommended that candidates actually go visit apartments in person before they decide to pay for one. We suggest that candidates use our J1 Buddy program, as well as the J1 Facebook for HRC candidates in Atlanta to find possible roommates as well, which will help cut the costs of housing and allow candidates to live in more desirable neighborhoods. Below is a list of housing websites that we recommend candidates look on to begin their housing search!
