Rate of pay:
Host and Supervisor $20.00, Server Position $13.00 plus gratuity. Greeter Rate: $18.50
It is customary in the US to work in "gratuity" positions. In these positions, you will receive a base hourly salary plus gratuity (tips). While the amount of a gratuity is ultimately at the discretion of the guest, the customary tip is 15-20% of the total bill before tax. based on history, you may expect to earn around $20+ per hour.
A uniform will be provided, There is an employee break room for you to bring in your own meals into. A staff meal will not be provided.
You will need to fly into DCA upon your arrival. The Hotel will offer up to 14 days of complimentary housing to cover room and tax. All other expenses are your own. The hotel will provide pick up upon arrival.
You will accrue personal time off after 90 days.
Housing:
There are apartments that are within walkable distance from the hotel- the housing is for 4 people at $250 per month plus utilities. It will be best to still have a bicycle or purchase a moped/vehicle for days when the weather is bad.
We recommend looking into Butterfly Springs Apartments is quite affordable and near the hotel.
If for some reason that option does not work out there are two other hotels close by that may be willing to do a discounted extended stay rate. I have emailed the GMs at both properties to ask what they can do.

The D.C. area is home to a tremendous number of cultural activities to do, especially with regard to history, both nationally and worldwide! World-famous for its historical monuments and cultural landmarks, there are very few cities in The United States that compare in terms of the number of iconic places to see! You can visit the Lincoln Memorial, The White House, and other attractions.
Depending on the location of your housing, a car may not be necessary while living in D.C, where the metro access is quite convenient making travel around the city fairly easy. It is recommended that you get metro passes as soon as you can. It is also an option to live outside the city where the cost of living will be a bit less expensive.
